My little sister Odessa came to Utah for to her lifetime friend's wedding last weekend. While she was here she stayed with Jake and I. It was fun having around. She is newly engaged and so we went dress shopping, and she found the perfect dress. She looks like so great in it. It is a mermaid style dress and it makes her look like a bootylicious Beyoncé. All those are going have to watch out. Love ya Dess.
Last Tuesday Tori had her first taste of rice cereal. She has no problem eating it, and she even smiled when she ate it. After she decided she liked it she wanted to take over and feed her self. She such a funny girl. I recorded her her rice ceral moment but saddly something with my computer or blogger is screwy and unfortunately I can't get a video loaded:( As soon as I get this little problemo worked out I'll have the video up. If any one else is having problems let me know. Here are a few pictures of Tori to satisfy you.
My sister Angela is off to Spain for six months to tutor and teach English to a family there. I am so excited for her but not till a few days ago did I realize that this will my first time in my life not to have a member of my family close by. I feel like a little lost child. Alone, weak, and frightened. For five years I thought I was being some what independent but it was my big sis that gave me courage to be out going, gave me a place to sleep when I didn't pay rent, let me borrow money, hugged me when I wrecked her car, and escorted me from a teen to adulthood. I am going to miss her so much and can't wait for her return. However I am happy that it has opened my eyes to how I can improve my marriage even more. I didn't see until now that in many ways I haven't been fully cleaving to my husband. I know in the scriptures it only commands the man to leave his parents and cleave to his wife that they will be one flesh but I know it applies to me as well. If I let Jake becomemoreof myearthly source of courage, comfort, support, advice, hugs, and leading it will improve our marriage, make stronger as a couple, and better friends. Again my big sister has helped me out. Thank you for everything Ang, I love you and I'll miss you so. Good luck out there.
Robin my really cool friend is finding out if she is having a boy or a girl today I am super excited to find out. I think it is another boy but I hope it is a girl for her mom's sake. I am never right about these things.
So for a while now I have been wanting to try aqua aerobics. At my old gym the classes started at 5 in the morning. I had one thing to say, yeah right. I also considered going to the Provo rec center's aqua classes but I didn't want to hand over the cash when I was already paying one gym. Now I have switched gyms and I attended my very first aqua cardio class. I had so much fun. I felt like little kid splashing around playing Simon says. I had to restrain my self from doing handstands and flips. A few times I got a little excited and started to do the moves wrong and the instructor kept yelling at me. Oh well. But, I think I will go again. Oh, yes and it was a good work out. However I am completely out of shape and lifting Tori seems like workout to me. My only word of advice don't knock before you try it.
Today Wayne, Karen, Jake, Tori, and, I went to a car show in Manti, UT. The ride down there was worth it because we got to see some cool cars. I love classic cars, and my favorite was a 1957 Corvet. I didn't get a picture but check out Tori with this hot rod.
A little over a year ago President Monson came to UVSC to speak at the signing to turn UVSC to UVU. I figured it would be one of my only chances to get to meet him, even for a second. I squeezed my way through stood right in front of him and said, "Hi President Monson, I'm Sylvia Green." Shook his hand then said, "Sorry I'm just going to have to give you a hug. I don't get to see you guys very often." Then I whipped out my phone and took a picture of us. President Monson was a good sport.
For the longest time I thought I had lost this picture when my phone broke, but unknowingly I had Jake's mico sd card in my phone. I just found it the other day. I am so happy that I did because I don't get to see those guys very often.
