Hair Cut

I got my hair cut. I really got cut it, and I love it. Actually I like it a lot more than I thought I would. Plus it wasn't quite as an adjustment as I thought it would be.

Collecting

I have never really been interested in the McDonald's Toys before. In fact I typically throw them away after Tori has played with them and lost interest. However I'm loving these little toy Madame Alexander Dolls in the McDonald's happy meals. I like them so much I am bond and determined to collect all eight of these charming toys . Of course I am going to let Tori play with them, but I am going to try to keep good care of them so they can be some of the toys I keep for my grand kids to play with.

Sinky Pics

As I was giving Macy a quick wash off in the bathroom sink I couldn't help to take a few pictures of my little lady. These are my favorite ones.

Camping

This year the ward camp out was held while Jake was out of town, but I didn't let that stop me from going. Yep, I camped with the girls and my dog without Jake. It really wasn't hard because I had a lot of help from ward members. The cub scouts helped me with my tent, a girl named Lucy played with Theo, my friend Mary held Macy a lot, other kiddos entrained Tori, and the ward provided the food.
Tori and Macy did really well camping. They both slept through the night with out a peep. Tori was very excited to sleep outside. It did take her a second to get the concept of a sleeping bag. She wanted to sleep under it and not in it. After showing Tori how cozy and warm it was inside vs laying on the tent floor she thought is was better to scoot all the down into the sleeping bag. That is how she slept. Tori did wake up a little cranky but after she found the other kids to play with she was happy again.
This was Macy's first time camping, and I so excited she did well. Now I feel confident that our family can go camping without worrying about how well Macy would do. Before Macy fell asleep she did have fun crawling around and making noise in the tent.
We all had a lot of fun, and I can't wait till next time.

Up the Nose

When I walked in the living room and saw Tori's blanket wrapped around her, and up her nose, I about I burst into laughter. She was totally zoned out watching Diego that she didn't notice me taking pictures of her. Haha!
While I am on the subject of Tori's blankie let me tell you another little happening that I have meaning to share. Tori is starting to teach people how to put her blanket up their noses! As far as I know she has taught Jake, her Papa Wayne, and Uncle Loyd. I pretty sure this is a huge complement to who ever is taught the wonderful ways of stuffing Tori's most favorite object up their nose.

I miss Jake
Current mood: A sad little dork
Category: Romance and Relationships

In an about me a friend said that she wasn't cool with out her husband. It was sweet but I didn't pay much attention to what she wrote. So my husband is out of town for five days and I understand more than ever what she meant. I feel like I'm off balance without Jake around. I have no one to cook for, clean for, be sexy for and it is driving me crazy. I am the biggest dork with out him. Before he was gone for 12 hours and I was laying in my bed hugging Jake's pillow and crying becuase I missed him so much. I'm pretty sure tonight will be the same. He is only eight hours away, but it is killing me not to have the love of life to role over to in the morning to kiss, to let him know how tired I am, or what I dreamed about. I so happy to be married to Jake for all time and eternity. The thought of loosing him more than a few days scares me more than slug and leaches do. I love my cutey booty so much and can't wait till he gets home.

After four years and a couple of kiddos I feel the same way when Jake is out of town. I thought that maybe that Tori and Macy would keep me company, but they have me missing Jake even more than when I was childless. I still feel like I don't have anyone to cook for either since the girls are happy with baby food, cereal, yogurt, fruit snacks, and peanut butter sandwiches. To combat the loneliness I shop, go out to eat, read, call people, swim, and play online. However, none of these things seem as enjoyable. Blah

Splash

To a have a little fun and to celebrate my sister in laws birthday all the ladies in family (and B Rock) went to the Gateway for lunch, to play at the childrens' museum, and for a little shopping. Of course it was scorching hot outside, and the slash pad was way to tempting to pass up. I am bummed I totally for got about bringing Tori's swimsuit. However she had fun getting a little wet. It was Tori's first time to go to a slash pad, and it took her a second to get use to it. I think we will try to go again before the summer is over.

Silly Macy

Macy is shaping up to be a silly little girl. She loves to giggle, smile, and pull some funny little faces.
Curly hair makes for crazy hair.

Hey Mom, have you seen these things before? How about using one on me every once and a while.

And the silliest of all, Macy first experiences tasting a Lemon!

Info

It has been a while so I'll give you a quick update on big news about each of the girlys...

Having two girls is getting more and more fun everyday. They are starting to play a little bit with one another. And my favorite part they make each other laugh. Sweet things.

Check out those chompers on Macy. She has struggled a little bit with teething, but thankfully it hasn't affected her sleep. She has been a little more of a momma's girl and emotional. Plus for about a week she would bite me. UGH, it was awful. I was a few bites away from weaning that child earlier than I was planning. To my relief she is minding her manners now.

Tori has taken a liking to painting. She likes to paint rainbows, butterflies, and her little friend Peter. What a girl.

Seven Peaks

This is what we are up to this summer, having fun and keeping cool at seven peaks. I wasn't quite sure if I was going to get a pass this year or not because I couldn't imagine how I was going to run after Tori while carrying Macy. But I also couldn't imagine sweating my bum off outside or staying inside during my favorite part of the year. So I went to the local pool to try give the girls a test run with swimming. They did great then, and have done great at seven peaks.

Macy loves the water, and Tori stays with me. We have a lot of fun.

(sorry about the wedgie picker in the background)

The 4th

The best thing about the Forth or July weekend was Angela and Loyd came to visit! I was starting to get home sick for my family so a visit from her was great. I wish Angela and Loyd would move back into our basement.

Anyway to celebrate we went to hangout with Loyd's brother's family. We had alot of fun. Tori enjoyed the fireworks and the glow sticks.

Good Things to Come

When I need a good pick me up or a quick family home evening lesson I will go to LDS.org and watch a 'Mormon Message.' I really like this one titled Good Things to Come. So I would love to share it with all of you.

My Garden:)

Tada! Here is my little garden this year! This year I am growing tomatoes, carrots, corn, watermelon, zucchini, squash, peas, strawberries, peppers, tomatillos, and broccoli! In august I will plant some spinach and lettuce as well. I really try to pack as much as I can in.

These are some of the "wild" tomaoes that are growing. Last year I never got around to cleaning out the garden before it started to snow. So this sping I just tilled in some of the dead plants and tomatoes as compost. I didn't think anything would grow but the seeds have done what they were meant to do. I am interested just what kind of tomatoes I will be getting from them.
Peas are ready to be picked!

I am very excited about my three rows of corn.

These are the onions from last year. I guess I could have left them in the ground but I was tired of looking at them. I would prefer to grow onions that grow better green onions and I would like red onions.

Toilet Paper Pincesses

At Jenny's (Jake's Cousin) bridal shower we designed a beautiful wedding dress out of toilet paper her. Tori was naturally attracted to the idea of having one made for herself as well. As I tucking and wrapping toilet paper around Tori I was sure Tori would want to make dresses out of toilet paper again and again with or with out me at home. However she hasn't! Since Tori hasn't made a mess of our toilet paper we might have to have a little creative dress up time with the toilet paper.

Cousin Time

This is my first picture of all the cousins together on the Green side. I didn't get a picture of all them smiling or looking at the camera at one time. As most know that is one tricky task.

I have a feeling that these three are going to have a lot of fun together in the upcoming years.

"Take A Picture"

Tori's request at 7 this morning was for me to take a picture. This picture.

I showed Tori this picture, and she said,"How pretty!" Indeed it is a very pretty picture of my happy little girls.

Dirty Face

Macy ate dirt! Yuck! However it did make for a cute picture!
