Girls Night
The first Saturday of each October and April Form 6-8 Jake goes to a Church Meeting for all the priesthood holders, and Tori, Macy, and I Have Girls Night. Well we do when we are home, and not other places. There have been a few times we haven't had a girls night, and it bummed me out. So this October we stayed home over conference weekend and The three of us partied at Chucky Cheese, had sundays , at Mcdonalds, and then the girls picked out new shirts at Target. So Fun! I can't wait till April for another Night with just the girls.

Colors of Fall
For family night this week we went to hike Stewart Falls. When we got to the trail head it was a littler darker and cooler than we anticipated, so we decided to hike a little ways till the girls had enough. I think we might have gone a third of the way before Macy's hands started to feel like ice. Tori was bummed we didn't make it to the the falls, but she did have a lot of fun collecting the red, orange, and yellow leaves. Speaking of those leaves, they were stunning. Crazy as it is I have never been up the Provo canyon area during the Fall. I can only think if we had made it to the falls how stunning it would of been to see the Autumn colors surrounding them. maybe I'll try to convince Jake it would be a good date to go on this weekend.
Anyway, Tori has been asking to collect leaves and paste them on paper like she has seen Sid do on Sid the Science Kid. So for a some fun we did just that for a little art project today. All of Tori's leaves she collect from the trail. Macy leaves came from the neighbor's yard.

Pancake Art
This is as exciting as pancakes have ever been in my house. I have made mickey mouse pancakes and mini with out her bow before( yes they are the same thing). And I have used a heart and flower pancake shape thingy, but butterflies, Ms, Ts, and big flowers is about as innovative as it gets around these parts. Tori and Macy had a lot of fun with them. Best part they ate them better then regular roundies.

Ear Rings
Tori asked to get her ear ring in her ears, and I said Yes, obviously.

On Monday morning Tori came to me with a pair of my ear rings, and asked me to put them in for her. I told her I couldn't because she didn't have pierced ears. She then asked to go to the mall to get ear rings. I was so surprised. I never thought should would want to so soon, because I told her in the past that to get earrings you have to get holes put in them, and it hurts a little. She has even seen a older girl at the mall get hers done, and didn't like the looks of the experience. I even reminded her after she asked that it would hurt, and I would have to clean them a lot, but she still seemed really excited to get her ears pierced.
Jake and I had discussed that when our daughters asked they could get their ears pierced, but we didn't think we would be asked so soon. I called Jake after Tori asked and let him know what we were going to do that day. I was more excited about the idea than he was, but he reluctantly gave his consent.
When we got to the mall I had Tori picked out the ear rings she wanted, sat in the chair had her ears marked, and on the count of three Tori's first ear was pierced. She started to get teary eyed and freaked out, but before she could runaway or go crazy her second ear was pierced. The lady that helped us was really fast, and did a good job. Tori did cry for minute but stopped as soon as she saw she was going to get a sucker. Even after the minute of pain she was still very happy to have ear rings.

Six or So
Maybe a month or so ago Macy has really become a lover of layering dress ups. Quite freently she come out of her room dressed in a couple of layer a frill and lace, but this past week she decided to put on the entire drawer of dress ups. HAHA! She was one big puff ball on girlishness.

The same day I babysat my niece Marla. She was such a good baby, and she got me a little baby hungry. However I have no plans to get pregnant for a little while longer. Anywho, Macy and Tori loved having their baby cousin here to coo at. Tori liked helping feed her a bottle, and holding her. Macy enjoyed giving her hugs and kisses.

A message to BYU Football

I attended the General Relief Society Meeting at the Conference Center with my in laws. It was great. I am not sure who doesn't feel this way, but President Dieter F. Uchtdorf talk was exceptional. He used the forget me not flower, which has five petals, as a metaphor to illustrate five things he would like the women to remember. They were
1. Forget not to be patient with yourself.
2. Forget not the difference between a good sacrifice and a foolish sacrifice.
3. Forget not to be happy now.
4. Forget not the why of the gospel.
5. Forget not that the Lord loves you.
His talk was very touching for me personally. It can be so easy for me to forget these steps that I see as great contributors to my joy in life, self worth, and Testimony.
Here is one clip from his talk you can find more here from his talk.

Spontanous Tea
This morning we had a bit of an unplanned party at our house. First the next door neighbor girl came to play. Tori was being a bit of a pill till I told her we could have a tea party. Her mood immediately changed, and she began to find dresses to where to her Tea Party. I figured that inviting one more little freind over would only make tea party more fun so I called and invited Tori's that lives around the corner. She came over very excited, and started looking through Tori's dress ups. While the girls were getting dressed I mixed the pink lemon aid and prepared the treats. I set up the kids table laid out a table cloth, passed out the tea set, filled their tea cups, and gave out snacks and the fun began. The three of them were so silly together as they sipped their pink lemon aid, and nibbled on their pretzels. Tori had a great time and didn't want her friends to leave.

Dragon Fight
Labor day was a blast! It was full of fun, eating junk food, staying up way to late, laughing with friends, and dragon stomping fun.
We went up to Vancouver , WA to support one of our favorite little boys, Carter, in his fight against Leukemia. Carter is the son of our great friends Dennison and Robin. Carter was diagnosed with Leukemia at the end of last year, and for the past eight months has fought a hard fight. He is doing great, and to celebrate him going into maintenance (a significantly easier part of treatment) Robin put on a huge party. There were close to a hundred people there. I don't have pictures of the party, but Carter smashed clay dragons, and slayed a dragon pinata to symbolize his smashing and slaying his personal dragon, cancer.
Other than the party we had tons of fun. I felt like a youngin staying up till the wee hours of the morning, taking, eating all the junk food in the house, playing video games, watching to TV shows, and laughing at all the good times we had. Tori and Macy had a great time to playing with Carter and Jude.

Last but not least, Jake celebrated his 30th while we were in WA. I am trying to convince him the that new cool is 30, and that 30 makes him seem more distinguished, mature, and so attractive. I don't think he believes me though. Anyway I didn't know what to get being that he bought his own gift. I figured humor would be a good gift, so I gave him ensure, hard candies, wrinkle cream, and hair dye. HAHAHA. He said it was mean. Sorry babe! I love you so much!
